now! by hülsta was launched in 1994 and is the youngest member of the hülsta family. These youg units also possess the characteristics of their parents in strict allegiance with the philosophy of the founders Alois Hüls and his son Karl Hüls: high quality, very practicality in use and top design.
In 1940 Alois Hüls laid the foundations for the hülsta company with his furniture carpentry business in Stadtlohn in Münsterland, a company that has since impressed the furniture world with its quality and exemplary ideas:
In 1968 the manufacturer launched the first system-based living room furniture range in the world. The "Allwand" range could be extended and placed anywhere and it revolutionised all furniture production.
The very same year hülsta invented the assembly unit principle, where all the units consisted of separate modules. They could be stacked or placed alongside one another so they were the first units that gave owners the chance to create their own suites.
With now! by hülsta, the company has again shown this pioneering spirit, for it is the first brand cash & carry furniture range in the world. And carrying it also means moving home with it for the units can be assembled with almost no tools and can be added to whenever required.
Today hülsta employs around 1,275 staff and all the production is still done in Germany. Numerous quality seals are proof of the high quality and environmental safety of all our product lines.
